Chennedy Carter, a former Timberview High School standout, has been drafted into the WNBA by the Atlanta Dream. The 22-year-old guard was selected with the fourth overall pick in the first round of the 2021 WNBA Draft.
Carter is a dynamic scorer and playmaker who averaged 24.8 points, 6.0 rebounds, and 5.4 assists per game in her senior season at Texas A&M. She was named a consensus All-American and was the SEC Player of the Year.
The Atlanta Dream are getting a player who can make an immediate impact. Carter is a versatile guard who can score from anywhere on the court. She is also a good defender who can rebound and create turnovers.
