BANGKOK, May 21 (Reuters) - One passenger died of a suspected heart attack and 30 were injured after a Singapore Airlines flight encountered severe turbulence about 10 hours into its journey from London to Singapore on Tuesday.
The victim was a 73-year-old British man, according to Singapore Airlines. The plane was carrying 222 passengers and 19 crew members.
Passengers described a sudden dramatic drop as "all hell" broke loose, with people and objects being launched across the cabin.
The plane landed safely in Singapore and the injured passengers were taken to local hospitals for treatment.
Singapore Airlines said it is investigating the incident.
